Regionally debuted, Grey's psychological thriller "VOW" opened to critical acclaim; "both disturbing and entertaining, Timothy Grey's VOW is a wonderful contribution to independent film," said Michael Moore. Grey was a founding force behind the first annual Traverse City Film Festival, heading up the first renovations of the then-closed State Theatre in downtown Traverse City. The Traverse City Film Festival has been graced with a plethora of world-known artists, directors, writers, and actors and has been home to films such as Madonna's "I Am Because We Are," the Christopher Award winner "Mad Hot Ballroom," and the Oscar nominated "Kite Runner." In the fall of 2005, Grey began production on his second feature "Lower the Sun," a film based on the writings of Gilgamesh. Again he assumed roles as director and writer but turned a new page with a lead acting role. Grey's audio/visual credits include corporate commercials for SPAM LOCKUP and Salamander Technologies as well as a Senate Campaign commercial for Roman Grucz in 2005. In 2008 Andalusian Dogs LLC was established and Grey embarked on his first documentary, "Under the Eightball," inspired by his sister Lori Hall Steele. |
